Organization Bin Product Imagery for Sustainable Home Goods Brand
Brand Overview
Three by Three has been one of my clients for several years now. They are a Seattle-based company that creates sustainable home goods that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Three by Three approaches design from a modern, playful angle, spinning ordinary items into display-worthy goods.
Project Objective
For this particular project, the main objective was to create imagery around a new product they were set to launch: reSTAK. These new mixed media organizing bins, made with recycled materials, came with optional lids so you could stack them. The lids also doubled as trays to keep smaller items handy and organized.
Production Challenges
The main challenge in a photoshoot of organizational bins is thinking through unique situations the product may be used in someone’s everyday life and making sure to have an organized list of the props needed ahead of time to create a diverse range of imagery.
Creative Process
I started planning this shoot by making a list of different rooms where people use organizational bins. From there, I was able to think through all the different props we would need in order to make it look like the bins were being used in a bunch of different scenarios, from art supplies and pantry staples to toys and clothing. I used just about every corner of my studio to create a diverse range of imagery showcasing this product for the brand.
