Alamos Wines
Lifestyle Product Imagery for Award-Winning Wine Brand
Brand Overview
Alamos has been making authentic Argentinian wine for over 120 years. Their wines are crafted at adventurous, high-elevation vineyards at the foot of the Andes Mountains, where intense sunlight, cool evenings, and mineral-rich snowmelt irrigate their vineyards. With every glass poured, they are sharing a glimpse of that adventurous Argentinian spirit.
Project Objective
The objective for this project was to create marketing imagery for Alamos’ award-winning Malbec wine. The brand requested imagery on a rugged, sandy or rocky beach with cool, crisp weather hints. They wanted the vibe of the images to be authentic, approachable, and rugged.
Production Challenges
There was honestly not much of a challenge with this product photoshoot, as the product was easy to integrate into the scenes requested. It was the first shoot I worked on in collaboration with Creatively Squared, an agency based in Australia that connects brands with creatives, so that was a new experience for me, but it was so easy to work with both the agency and the brand.
Creative Process
My process included sourcing a location that matched the brand’s request, an easy feat in the Pacific Northwest. I also hired a couple to model the shoot for me and gathered some props that matched the brand’s guidelines. We faked building a bonfire with charred wood already found at the beach, as there was a burn ban in effect. In fact, the sky was quite smoky for our shoot as it was late summer; however, that worked in our favor to create the moody beach scenes the brand had requested.
“The team is very happy with your work - they were well in-theme, on-brand, and both uniquely & naturally styled! Great work.”
