Brand Overview

Bliss Small Batch Creamery is a local ice cream shop and a long-time client of mine. Their brand is centered on a family-friendly atmosphere, and they prioritize incorporating fun into their visual identity. They provide a high-quality experience through their local scoop shops, as well as their mobile tricycle and van setups for pop-up events.

Project Objective

The objective for this shoot was to create summer content for Bliss, telling the story of the customer experience at their DuPont scoop shop while also showcasing their mobile van and tricycle services. My goal was to produce imagery that reflected the fun and energetic vibe that Bliss is known for in the local community.

Production Challenges

The primary challenge for this shoot was managing the logistics of multiple locations and mobile equipment. I needed to find locations within the DuPont scoop shop neighborhood where I could shoot the tricycle and van and have a somewhat clean background and decent lighting. I also needed to find a model with the right personality for the brand.

Creative Process

I began preparing for this shoot by selecting a model with a silly and fun personality to ensure the imagery felt authentic to the brand vibe. We started in the DuPont shop to create a series of images that tell the story of a typical visit. Afterward, we moved the tricycle to a small park just next door. Utilizing the greenery in the park allowed me to create a fresh, outdoor feel for the mobile pop-up scenes. We finished the shoot by finding a third location within that same development for the van to be parked, where the background wasn’t too busy for intentional brand imagery.
