Project Objective

While my previous projects with Brewcursion focused on the adventurous, off-grid capabilities of their keg coolers, this shoot was designed to highlight a different side of the product's versatility. I set out to create imagery that showcases the cooler as a centerpiece for home entertaining and patio parties. By shifting the narrative from a rugged adventure to a fun backyard gathering, I aimed to demonstrate how this product is just as at home on a modern patio as it is in the wilderness. My goal was to build a gallery that reflects how Brewcursion seamlessly integrates into any social lifestyle, providing professional-grade draft quality no matter the setting.

Production Challenges

The primary challenge for this project was the reduced level of control I had over the planning process compared to a standard commercial production. Because I coordinated the shoot with a friend who hosted the party in exchange for the keg and cooler setup, I had to balance the organic nature of a real social event with the specific requirements of the brand. Managing a larger group of people who are not professional models also required extra attention to ensure the visual narrative remained cohesive. It was a unique logistical task to facilitate a genuine party while ensuring every element aligned with the professional standards of a commercial shoot.

Creative Process

To address the logistical variables, I maintained a high level of communication between my friend and the brand to create a shoot brief that satisfied both parties. I had the host send a style guide to all invited guests to ensure their wardrobe matched the specific vibe I wanted to create. On the day of the shoot, I arrived early to manage the setup and ensure we had enough real beer glasses for the crowd, which helped maintain an elevated aesthetic.

During the party, I lightly directed and posed the attendees to fulfill my shot list while allowing them to enjoy the gathering. This allowed me to create authentic imagery that showcases the product in a real-world social setting. The result was a polished gallery that highlights the versatility of the Brewcursion system, proving it is just as functional for a patio celebration as it is for an outdoor adventure.
