Three by Three Seattle Drawer Organizers
Building Sustainable Brand Assets Through Strategic Collaborative Styling
Brand Overview
Three by Three, Seattle is a brand dedicated to making busy lives beautifully efficient through intentional and sustainable home organization. At the core of their mission is a commitment to environmental responsibility, creating functional products that bring order and aesthetic clarity to any living space. By utilizing recycled materials, Three by Three, Seattle ensures that their organizers are as eco-conscious as they are stylish. Their signature brand identity is defined by a clean, colorful, and simple aesthetic that resonates with the modern homeowner looking for high-quality, sustainable solutions for a clutter-free life.
Project Objective
The primary objective for this shoot was to help build out Three by Three, Seattle’s strategic transition from a retail-focused model to a dominant presence on online platforms. While the brand already had an established style, they needed to elevate their visual content around their drawer organizers to compete in a crowded digital marketplace. I set out to create a library of professional assets for this particular product that maintained their vibrant, simple vibe while significantly increasing the quality and impact of the imagery. A key shot they requested as a part of this project involved executing a specialized mixed-media shot designed to highlight the brand's use of recycled materials.
Production Challenges
As this was my first collaboration with Three by Three, Seattle, a significant part of the production involved the natural learning curve of onboarding a new client. I dedicated time to researching their established brand identity to ensure my work would align with their colorful and simple aesthetic. The primary hurdle was the high volume of drawer organizer sets for which they needed imagery. I faced the challenge of producing a large quantity of unique vignettes while ensuring the imagery remained fresh and avoided repetitive compositions and props. Managing so many individual sets required a high level of creative thinking to keep each drawer layout feeling distinct and purposeful.
Creative Process
I addressed these logistical needs by establishing a highly collaborative workflow with my contact at the brand. We utilized a shared document to brainstorm various scene options and meticulously plan which props would be required for each specific vignette. By dividing the sourcing responsibilities, we were able to assemble a comprehensive collection of props for the shoot.
The studio on the day of the shoot was a mess as we navigated the sheer amount of product and props, but this hands-on approach allowed us to execute the dynamic compositions the brand desired. This project was a foundational experience; it allowed us to learn exactly how many props were necessary and helped us refine our process for all future collaborations. This evolution in our workflow has turned what was once an overwhelming task into a streamlined, efficient system for building out their extensive product catalogs.
