Stylish Travel Imagery for Upscale Luggage Line
Brand Overview
Samsonite is an iconic luggage brand, and this particular line of Hartmann luggage is known for its elevated, timeless, luxury style. Hartmann is a high-end brand featuring rich heritage and luxe details. This partnership product was designed to be a bit more formal and elevated, without being too businesslike.
Project Objective
The goal for this commercial product photography job was to create a range of images in practical situations out and about town. The brand requested candid images featuring the product being used and in motion. Examples of imagery they desired included walking down the street, packing the car for a weekend away, on holiday, etc.
Production Challenges
The day I had planned this shoot turned out to be cold and rainy, so I had to get creative with my location so as not to ruin the luggage or the vibe of this upscale travel product photoshoot.
Creative Process
Thankfully, the location I sourced for this shoot had a covered atrium area that provided an outdoor setting without leaving us soaked or ruining the vibe we were going for. It was a more upscale area of town with lots of brickwork that dovetailed nicely with the luggage design. In addition, my model wore a neutral but upscale winter outfit that tied it all together. I focused on creating in-situ images of her actually using the bags to fulfill this brief.
