Project Objective
To create warm lifestyle product imagery for Favorite Story’s beautifully designed line of holiday gift wrap for use on their website listings, and social media marketing.
Production Challenges
My first choice of location for this shoot ended up being unavailable and so I had to pivot and use my own living space for the shoot. This meant decorating for Christmas in October so I purchased a faux tree and dug out a few other basic Holiday decorations to give the vibe we needed for this themed shoot. In addition to this challenge we had very dim natural lighting on the day of the shoot which presented challenges for my exposure.
Creative Process
When the location I wanted wasn’t available, I decided to deck my own home out in holiday decor for the shoot. We normally purchase a live tree every year but it being October, I needed to purchase a faux tree to set up for this shoot. Dim natural light forced me to embrace a warmer lighting tone than I normally use, but these warm tones ended up serving the vibe the client requested really well.
