Product Photography for Local Skincare Brand

Mae Botanicals is a Pacific Northwest based botanical skin care brand from naturopathic doctor Kari Logan. Kari grows all of the plants used in her skin care products from seed in her own garden. She then harvests and processes the plants for her products. Because this is such an important part of her work, we included as many of the plants she uses as we could in her product photography. I love how bright and colorful this made the imagery and how it really brought her products to life! I’m going to share my favorite images in her gallery below and then I’ll also share a little bit about how she is using her images to hopefully inspire you and give you ideas for where you can use your product imagery too! Keep scrolling to find out more.

Now that you’ve seen some of Kari’s gallery of product photos, check out how she’s using them!

The first place I came across her product photo placement was on the home page of her website. Here you can see she’s using one in her pop-up to get people to subscribe to her email list and there is also one behind that as her website banner. These are both great uses for product imagery for your brand!

I also found several examples of where Kari is using her product imagery to promote her brand on social media! I thought the post below was a really great idea where she took a photo with a little bit of white space and superimposed a screenshot of some of the reviews she’s received recently onto it. Social proof can be a powerful marketing tool, and paired with a beautiful product photo it’s fire 🔥

Another place where Kari is using her product photos to market Mae Botanicals is on print flyers (see the design below). Using your product photos on your business cards, flyers to hand out at markets, postcards to mail to your list, or printed advertisements will up-level your brand marketing and is a great way to get the word out about your products!

I hope this gives you some ideas for where you can be using your product photos too! But wait, when was the last time you updated them? Make sure they are current, relevant, and professional quality. Whether you need to start from scratch or simply update and add to what you already have, I can help! Get the planning process for your next product photoshoot started today at the button below!
