2017 Year in Review // Part 1
Rachel // Tacoma Senior Photography
It's been three months since I had the chance to sit down and blog. What a whirlwind ending to the year!
Every year I go through all of the photo sessions I've done and pick out my favorite images. It is incredibly encouraging for me to look back on the past year of photographs and memories and see how much I have grown and changed as a photographer. This year as I started to compile a folder of my favorites, I quickly realized that there was no way I could fit them into one manageable blog post, so I've decided to separate them into two categories. Today I am sharing just portraits with you.
2016 Year in Review
I love it when I have seniors who do ballet! They are always naturals at posing and it's such a fun thing to incorporate ballet into a photo session! Rachel, with her gorgeous hair, was no exception. She says that dancing is a stress reliever for her and you can tell how at ease it puts her, even when it's an impromtu show right in the middle of a photo session!
This has been quite a year! January began with me six months pregnant and quitting my day job to go full time into photography.
One of the reasons I went full time was to accept a teaching position at Covenant High School. During Winter quarter I taught a basic photography class for junior and senior high school students. It was so fulfilling to teach about my passion and to see students work hard to achieve art through their photographs.
