2017 Year in Review // Part 1
Harvey's First Birthday Party
It's been three months since I had the chance to sit down and blog. What a whirlwind ending to the year!
Every year I go through all of the photo sessions I've done and pick out my favorite images. It is incredibly encouraging for me to look back on the past year of photographs and memories and see how much I have grown and changed as a photographer. This year as I started to compile a folder of my favorites, I quickly realized that there was no way I could fit them into one manageable blog post, so I've decided to separate them into two categories. Today I am sharing just portraits with you.

My baby turned one last week and after much deliberation (thanks Pinterest), I decided to throw him a camping/woodland themed birthday party. I want to share all the little details with you here as well as where I found some of the ideas and products!
Four Things I Want My Family Clients to Know
My sweet niece, Liesl was born a few weeks ago and I had the honor of doing her first photo shoot! She has two doting big sisters that couldn't be any cuter and they all made my job super easy!
2016 Year in Review
I may not be good at writing my thoughts down on paper, and this may not be the most polished blog post you'll come across. But I want to do my best to be honest with you about these things that I think will help make your family photo session go as smoothly as possible.
This has been quite a year! January began with me six months pregnant and quitting my day job to go full time into photography.
One of the reasons I went full time was to accept a teaching position at Covenant High School. During Winter quarter I taught a basic photography class for junior and senior high school students. It was so fulfilling to teach about my passion and to see students work hard to achieve art through their photographs.
